About Our School

Auckland Seventh-day Adventist High School (ASDAH) is a co-educational Christian school. We are a member of Adventist Education New Zealand; an affiliate of the world-wide Adventist education system which is the largest Protestant education system in the world.

"Building a Nation Through Quality Christian Education"

At Auckland Seventh-Day Adventist High School, academics, faith and wellbeing are at the core of everything that we do. Our team members are dedicated to seeing students reach their full potential and prepare for the future as leading voices in the community. Special Charcter

Adventist Schools New Zealand operates sixteen schools and caters for more than 1,500 students, which helps to provide a network of resources to give each child an education of the highest quality in an ideal Christian learning environment.

Adventist education is built on the belief that each student is unique, and of immeasurable worth. It values the importance of systematic development of the whole person. Students are taught to accept the concept of service as a principle of life, to be sensitive to the needs of people and to become contributing members in their community.

At the heart of Adventist education is a belief that children achieve true growth when their mental, physical and spiritual needs are met. ASDAH upholds these beliefs and, with enviable teacher-to-student ratios, provides a nurturing and caring learning environment where Christian values are upheld.
Christian Education in an Adventist School is focused on academic excellence, the development of a healthy lifestyle, strong moral development and a commitment to service in the communities in which we live. In addition, there is the ultimate goal of drawing each pupil into a personal relationship with our Creator God.

As a part of the Adventist Integrated schools system, ASDAH welcomes students from all faiths and cultural backgrounds. We do not impose a mandatory church attendance on students who attend our school. Our teaching and faith values the family and promotes a respect for others and ourselves. Whether your child is an Adventist or follows another faith, we expect these values and principles to be upheld within our school, and request a high standard of conduct both within and outside the school.

As a Christian organisation we devote time to worship and learning about God and the Bible. Children participate in Bible classes, hear regular Bible stories and are involved in a weekly chapel service. Worship is a core component of education at ASDAH and all students are encouraged to have a relationship with Jesus. Through our worship and chapel programmes, we aim to help the families at our schools raise responsible, mature and well-rounded children with a balance to their lives.
